DermoScan X2. Digital dermatoscopy

Digital dermatoscopy is a modern non-invasive method of diagnosing skin neoplasms based on the skin’s ability to reflect and transmit light.

With the help of a special device – a dermatoscope, the skin is examined under special lighting and in significant magnification, thanks to which the doctor can see and evaluate the structures of the nevus, which are not visible to the naked eye.

About the melody of the study

According to statistics, more than 70% of melanomas (malignant skin tumors) occur on clean skin, that is, where there was nothing before. And only up to 30% develop from existing nevi. That is why it is necessary not only to check “old” nevi, but also to pay attention to new formations on the skin.

The simplest and at the same time the highest quality method of monitoring the condition of all nevi is body mapping: creating a mole map or mole passport.

DermoScan X2 is a modern comprehensive system for digital standardized photo documentation of the entire body. It helps to track changes in existing nevi and record new formations on the body. This is certainly the best method of monitoring the condition of all neoplasms for the early detection of skin cancer. It allows you to conduct an automatic analysis of the skin of the entire body in a very short period of time and helps the doctor track changes in old nevi, the appearance of new and even imperceptible moles, helps to detect neoplasms with a high oncological risk. In addition, the advantage is also the ability to reduce the number of unnecessary removals of neoplasms and the discomfort associated with them.

Advantages of the method

Speed.

Painlessness.

Does not require special preparation.

Has no contraindications for implementation.

Can be used by children and pregnant women.

How the procedure is carried out

First, the doctor examines the skin, paying attention to suspicious formations, as well as those that bother the patient. He processes the dermatoscope with a disinfectant solution, as well as treats the skin at the site of dermatoscopy with an antiseptic. If necessary, the doctor can apply a special oil or gel to the skin to obtain a better image. After that, the doctor applies the dermatoscope to the skin, examines the neoplasm and evaluates it. He talks about the prognosis of this formation and offers possible removal options.
