How ultrasound examination is performed
The AirDOC clinic in Kyiv performs comprehensive ultrasound examinations using the latest scanners, which make it possible to obtain images and videos of the highest quality and resolution.
At our clinic, a doctor or nurse will invite you to the examination room and ask you to make yourself comfortable on the couch. You will need to remove your clothing to expose the area of the body required for the examination.
The diagnostician will apply a special transparent gel to the skin, which does not contain any harmful substances. A standard examination usually takes just over 30 minutes. After the ultrasound examination, you can consult a specialist at our clinic and, if necessary, start treatment immediately.
The examination itself consists of placing the device’s sensor on the area of the organ being examined. The diagnostician then takes the sensor and begins to move it across the skin. Images of the internal systems and organs being examined are displayed on a monitor. During this examination, a characteristic sound of running water can be heard, which reflects the flow of blood through the vessels.
